August 5, 2016 --- Next, Flatland performs close to home at the Carrollton Firehouse for their Monthly Bluegrass Concert Series. Flatland was the first band to perform at the Concerts when it started back in March of 2009. Since then the crowd has grown to filling the Firehouse at each concert. So get the family, (bring the kids, grandkids), and friends together and come on out for some good fun and music. The Firehouse is located on Rt. 17 about 2 1/2 miles south of the James River Bridge. Soft drinks and the best hot dogs in town are served and the donation for the concert is $5 per person. Don't forget your lawn chair. Hope to see you there!

OUR CD!

The Flatland Bluegrass Band is an exciting home-grown Virginia Bluegrass band from Southeastern Virginia. They are now one of the region's most popular Bluegrass bands. The Flatland Bluegrass Band's members are veteran musicians who have many years of on-stage musical experience. They have performed from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Chesapeake Bay, and from Northern to Southern Virginia, and from North Carolina to Pennsylvania. Through the years they have been chosen to play some of the top Bluegrass Festivals in the State. The tight harmonies and high-energy instrumentals make this an excellent group to entertain all ages with their mix of traditional & contemporary Bluegrass music as well as Bluegrass Gospel Music. The current members are Randy Grigg, guitar and vocals; Karen Grigg, mandolin and vocals; Fred Staggs, bass; and Jim Andersen, banjo and vocals. The Band performs for private events as well as public functions and has shared the stage with a number of Nashville musicians and played at many Bluegrass festivals with some of the biggest names in Bluegrass through the years. They are right at home playing festivals, concerts, stage shows, private parties and other special events. Just E-Mail us for more information, availability and prices.
